How to winterize your pool?

We must follow the next steps to perform the pool winterizing:

• Clean the bottom and walls of the pool thoroughly with the automatic clean robot, that have a smart navigation system that cleans all types of swimming pools. It is also advisable to periodically clean the skimmer basket, where leaves and insects accumulate.
• Analyze the water Ph and adjust the value between 7.2 – 7.4. To keep a neutral pH is essential to avoid the wear of the materials that form the pool and the loss of effectiveness of the disinfectant.
• Perform a shock chlorination, with the pump in operation, so the water is disinfected before adding the wintering product.
• Next day, add the wintering product, leaving the filter in operation to homogenize its distribution in the water.
• If the pool cleaners are automatic, we suggest you to remove from the water; they could be damaged if they remain submerged all winter.
• It is also advisable to cover the pool to avoid the accumulation of leaves and dirt.
• The pump must be in operation for 2 or 3 hours every 15 days. The Silen Plus pump allows you to program its operation through the evopool APP.

This process must be done twice, one at the end of the bathing season and the other one in January/February.
